Na arte da confeitaria, tenho como antecedentes meu bisavô Carl Hugo Escher, alemão da região da Baviera que formado em Gastronomia pela Universidade de Berlim, chegando ao Brasil se tornou de imediato chef de cozinha do então Presidente Getúlio Vargas. Era o responsável pelos eventos de grande porte como banquetes e recepções.
A família Escher conserva até hoje seu valioso caderno de receitas, e assim desenvolvi a receita do meu delicioso bolo de amêndoas.

In the world of culinary arts, few have made an impression as large as my great grandfather, Carl Hugo Escher. Originating from the Bavarian region of Germany, he immigrated to Brazil after receiving his culinary degree from the University of Berlin. Once in  Brazil, he was quickly named head chef for the president of the time, Getulio Vargas. There he was the chef responsible for major events, banquets, and receptions. To this day, the Escher family has kept his valued recipes.
